Problem
Traditional social networks make it easy to consume content but often fail to facilitate meaningful human connections. People frequently have shared experiences through various events in their lifetime, without ever discovering one another. Places aims to bridge that gap by helping users uncover and build relationships rooted in real-life connections rather than algorithm driven popularity.

Design Focus
My work focused on refining and expanding the Places experience across both mobile and desktop platforms. I reviewed existing user journeys, identified usability gaps, introduced missing product flows, and improved overall navigation and information architecture. This included designing desktop adaptations, support and safety experiences, moderation fows, and additional pages required to create a more complete, scalable, and user-friendly product experience.

Outcome
The final designs helped close critical gaps across the product experience, creating a more cohersive journey for users across mobile and desktop. By introducing missing flows, improving navgation, and establishing clearer support and safety systems, Places became better equipped to handle real-world user scenerios and provide a more polised experience during testing and future releases.
